”I love stories! They highlight who we are.”
After spending years in the non-profits arts community and then over a dozen years in the corporate sector training & leading teams, I took the leap and founded Why Story Works, a consulting firm helping people put their best stories to work-for them and their business.
I hold a master’s degree in Performance Studies from New York University; a certification as a Training Specialist from the University of Washington, and I am a certified Dale Carnegie Instructor & leadership coach.
As a published/produced playwright, actress, and writer, I’ve written numerous short stories, produced and performed 3 one woman show’s, and my first ensemble play, “Family Masks,” ran for 5 successful seasons and was produced in NYC.
When I am not leading 1:1 executive coaching sessions or facilitating workshops, in person or virtually, I have been spied telling real life stories in Seattle at The Moth’s monthly StorySlam(s), Bad Date Storytelling at Rebar, and The Loud Mouth Lit Reading Series. I have been a featured author/presenter/panelist at Learnapalooza 2018- 2020, It’s About Time Reading Series for Writers, NAWMBA’s- National Association of Women MBA’s, The Freelancers Union, Lean Start Up, The Seattle Angel Conference, and the Seattle Fringe Theatre Festival.
